Position Information

We are searching for an IT Specialist to provide assistant to our employees  in a friendly and professional manner.  Can you speak the language on a wide range of technology issues, topics, and more importantly, can translate that language into helping troubleshoot and resolve issues?  Intersted in being a part of transitioning and implementing Office 365?

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as prior IT and helpdesk experience. The role will include team support and maintenance of Microsoft Windows and Citrix environments, advanced troubleshooting, prioritizing and completing assigned tickets in a timely manner, as well as escalating complex issues to other IT members.

Your role will be to act as a project manager on the help desk to support Aldrich employees in the southern California offices and via phone for remote users and other locations.

 Responsibilities

  • Assist end users with hardware, software and peripheral issues in person, via phone or remote access
  • Perform workstation deployments and moves by installing, monitoring and supporting functions of desktop operating systems and related applications
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all company departments in resolving any functionality issues with business systems (i.e. troubleshooting)
  • Provide "help desk" support to on-site and remote staff as needed
  • Improve and document help desk policies and procedures
  • Assist in managing equipment life cycle
  • Monitor technical support workload and outstanding issues
  • Rotational on-call emergency support   
  • Assist with other IT projects as needed    

Qualifications

  • Must be able to travel between southern California offices
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Strong customer service focus combined with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet required deadlines
  • Required experience in Microsoft Windows environment, including Active Directory administration
  • Desired experienced in Citrix environment and remote desktop support tools
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and eagerness to learn industry specific applications
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hardware, software and peripheral troubleshooting
  • 3+ years’ experience providing end user technical support and managing a Windows-based network in at least a medium size organization (50+ users)
  • Computer related Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college or 5+ years’ related experience
  • Office 365 experience a plus
